Notice regarding hearing to determine an application for a Restriction Order

On 6 April 2023 the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry will be holding a hearing to determine an application for a Restriction Order pursuant to section 19(2)(b) of the Inquiries Act 2005.

The application has been made by the Metropolitan Police Service to restrict access to a small number of documents.

Legal representatives for all Core Participants (and those to whom the information relates) who have signed confidentiality undertakings will be able to attend this hearing and will be given an opportunity to make representations regarding disclosure of the potentially restricted evidence.

In light of the fact that the hearing will be addressing potentially restricted evidence (that has been disclosed to relevant participants under strict conditions pursuant to rule 12 of the Inquiry Rules 2006) the hearing itself will not be open to the public or individual Core Participants.

An open decision will be produced and published on this website following the hearing.
