Inquiry to examine Marine Drive Post Office case study and Post Office investigation, prosecution and debt recovery policy and practice

Witness timetable and public gallery applications for September - October Phase 4 Hearings

The Inquiry has today published a witness timetable for its Phase 4 Hearings taking place from 19 September 2023.

Over two weeks, Sir Wyn Williams will hear evidence about the Post Office’s proceedings against former sub-postmaster, Mr Lee Castleton, of Marine Drive Post Office. The Inquiry will then continue hearing from former Post Office employees addressing the company’s investigation, prosecution and debt recovery policy and practice, after two weeks of July hearings were postponed due to Post Office disclosure failings.

Duncan Atkinson KC, the prosecutions expert witness instructed by Sir Wyn, will address Volume 1 of his Expert Report, relating to the law and practice of the conduct of investigations and prosecutions between 2000 and 2013.
